Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our NEW coffee trailer team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining high standards of food safety, and ensuring the cleanliness of the workspace. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation, serving, and time management within a dynamic environment.

Duties

Prepare and serve a wide range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks
Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to at all times
Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing friendly service
Handle cash transactions and operate point-of-sale systems with basic maths skills
Maintain cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and dining spaces in accordance with hygiene regulations
Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, including assembling snacks or light meals
Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly
Restock supplies and ensure the display of products is attractive and well-organised

Qualifications

Previous barista experience is advantageous but not essential; willingness to learn is key
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
Experience in serving customers with professionalism and courtesy
Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
Ability to perform food preparation tasks efficiently
Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy shifts
Friendly attitude with excellent communication skills
Ability to work well within a team and independently when required
