Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Air Conditioning Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in air conditioning systems, maintenance, and equipment repair. This role requires the ability to read and interpret schematics, as well as demonstrate leadership skills in a construction environment. The Air Conditioning Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of HVAC systems, performing regular maintenance, and troubleshooting issues as they arise.

Duties

Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning systems in residential and commercial settings.
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Diagnose faults in air conditioning systems and implement effective solutions.
Read and interpret technical schematics to facilitate repairs and installations.
Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction projects to ensure seamless integration of HVAC systems.
Lead small teams during installation projects, providing guidance and support to junior engineers or apprentices.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and maintenance schedules.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while working on-site.

Experience

Proven experience as an Air Conditioning Engineer or similar role within the HVAC industry.
Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
Familiarity with reading schematics and technical drawings related to HVAC systems.
Demonstrated leadership abilities, particularly in a construction or engineering environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
