Full job description

We’re looking for a hardworking and reliable Seasonal Kitchen Assistant / KP to support our kitchen team during our busiest months. This role is essential to keeping the kitchen running smoothly. You’ll help with cleaning, basic food prep, and maintaining high standards of hygiene while working alongside chefs in a fast‑paced, professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

Keep all kitchen areas clean, organised, and safe throughout service
Wash pots, pans, utensils, and equipment quickly and efficiently
Operate and maintain the dishwasher and cleaning machinery
Assist chefs with basic food preparation (peeling, chopping, portioning) when required
Ensure work surfaces, floors, and storage areas meet hygiene standards
Empty bins, manage recycling, and maintain waste areas
Receive and store deliveries, rotating stock and checking quality
Support the kitchen team during busy service periods
Follow all food safety and health & safety procedures

Skills & Qualities

Strong work ethic and willingness to get stuck in
Ability to work quickly and stay calm under pressure
Good communication and teamwork skills
Attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean kitchen
Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude
Flexibility to help with prep or other tasks when needed

Requirements

No previous experience required—full training provided
Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and peak seasonal periods
Physically able to handle a fast‑paced, hands‑on role
Understanding of kitchen hygiene is helpful but not essential
