What you’ll be doing:
Make every visit count. Help protect homes, support residents, and strengthen communities across Slough.
Slough Borough Council is looking to hire two motivated, confident and community-minded Tenancy Audit Officers to join our Housing Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a hands-on role in ensuring our tenant and property records are accurate, homes are being occupied appropriately, and residents receive the right support at the right time.
As a Tenancy Audit Officer, you will be out in the community, carrying out scheduled and ad-hoc home visits across Slough. You will gather vital information about occupancy, tenancy arrangements, household circumstances and property condition, helping the Council keep accurate records and identify where tenants may need additional support.
You will work closely with Senior Neighbourhood Officers and other teams to identify repairs, safeguarding concerns, domestic abuse or anti-social behaviour issues, and suspected tenancy fraud. Your work will help make sure homes are safe, services are responsive, and vulnerable residents are supported to sustain their tenancies.
We are looking for people who are organised, resilient and confident working with a wide range of residents, including those who may be vulnerable or facing challenging circumstances. You will need strong customer service skills, the ability to communicate clearly and calmly, and the confidence to work independently while making sound decisions.
Experience in housing, tenancy management, customer service or working with vulnerable residents would be helpful, but just as important is your ability to build trust, ask the right questions, stay professional under pressure and keep accurate records. You should also be comfortable using Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel and Outlook.
If you are ready to take on a varied, people-focused role where no two days are the same, we would love to hear from you. Apply now and help us deliver a tenancy audit service that makes a real difference to residents and communities across Slough.
