We are looking for experienced Laundry Operator to join our team at Ideal Commercial Laundry Limited. If you have worked in a laundry/commercial laundry in the past, in any way, we want to talk to you.
As a leading linen hire and laundry service provider to the hospitality industry, our position is growing thanks to our commitment to delivering excellent quality and development of new products to meet the needs of our customers.
Pay is experienced based, with bonus schemes in place as well.
You must have a good standard of general education (must be able to speak and read English) together with the flexibility in your approach to work. Full training will be provided.
Summary of role's available
To prepare, process, finish, repair or despatch items to required quality standards using appropriate equipment or plant, working to Company guidelines on productivity and efficiency and meeting the guarantee of the Customer Commitment.
Sorting dirty linen, loading washing machines, feeding linen through a rotary ironer, fold towels, organising stock, preparing cleaning laundry parcels and also if applicable, delivering clean linen to the customers.
A full, clean UK drivers licence would be preferred, as you may be required to deliver laundry parcels.
Key Tasks:
- To carry out any reasonable request made by management
- To keep managers, supervisors, colleagues informed as necessary
- To keep accurate records where required
- To wear and use Personal Protective Equipment and handling aids, where supplied, at all times for all relevant tasks
- To carry out all tasks to comply with Company Policy on Health & Safety and COSHH requirements
- To comply with Company Policies and the Terms & Conditions of Employment and follow Company Procedures
- To keep work area clean, tidy, safe and secure at all times
- To attend training courses as required
- To foster and maintain good working relations with colleagues
- To maintain confidentiality of Company and Customer business
- Other Ad hoc duties as required
