We're looking for Skilled Upholsterers to join our talented team on a full-time permanent basis.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a piecework environment, with a high attention to detail and a passion for quality upholstery.
Hours: 39 Hours Per Week - Monday - Thursday - 06:30 - 16:30
Overtime available at enhanced rates.
Responsibilities
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to assemble sofa components.
- Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues.
- Use sewing and fabrication skills to ensure upholstery quality.
- Lift heavy materials safely to support production needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace in accordance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets.
- Follow detailed instructions to ensure each piece meets company standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop
Qualifications
- Proven experience with hand tools and power tools in a manufacturing or upholstery environment.
- Strong sewing and fabrication skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely.
- Good mechanical knowledge relevant to furniture assembly.
- Warehouse experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality standards.
- Ability to work well within a team environment.
- Physical stamina for manual work.
