Job Description

PHSSL are currently recruiting experienced and reliable Care & Support Workers, male and female to join our growing team supporting care home services across Northern England

Areas like;

Cheshire, Liverpool, Manchester, Yorkshire and the Humber, Leeds, Durham, Tyne and Wear, Newcastle.

This is an excellent opportunity for compassionate individuals who are passionate about delivering high-quality care and support to vulnerable adults in residential and nursing care settings.

We have steady and ongoing work available for staff who are dependable, professional, and able to travel reliably to shifts.

Job Type

Full-time / Part-time / Flexible Shifts
Ongoing agency and permanent opportunities available
Day shifts, night shifts, and weekend work available

What We’re Looking For

Experience in the following areas is advantageous:

Dementia Care
Person-Centred Care
Nursing Care Support
Palliative Care
Residential Care Home Support
Supporting elderly and vulnerable adults

Whether you are highly experienced or looking to build further experience in care, we welcome applicants who are committed, caring, and willing to work flexibly across our locations.

Driver Requirement

Drivers are highly preferred as travelling between services can be required. Having your own vehicle makes it easier to access shifts across different locations and increases available work opportunities.

However, non-drivers can also apply if they can reliably commute to shifts.

Key Responsibilities

Providing high-quality personal care and emotional support
Assisting residents with daily living activities
Promoting dignity, independence, and wellbeing
Supporting residents with dementia and complex care needs
Maintaining accurate records and following care plans
Working collaboratively with nursing and care home teams

Candidate Requirements

Minimum 6 months care experience is a MUST
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
Ability to work independently and within a team
Flexible availability is beneficial
DBS ENHANCED (or willingness to apply)
Right to work in the UK required
No late cancellations
