Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter/Kitchen Assistant to support our busy kitchen. This role involves assisting with maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen environment. . Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.

Responsibilities

Wash dishes in a fast paced environment
Support chefs when needed
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces
Ensure all areas of the kitchen meet health and safety standards
Help with dishwashing and waste disposal
Restock supplies and organise storage areas efficiently

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is desirable but not mandatory
Knowledge of food preparation and basic cooking techniques is a plus
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to learn new skills and take on varied tasks
Good communication skills and team-oriented attitude
Flexibility to work shifts as required, including evenings and weekends

Pay: £12.71 per hour

Work Location: In person
