Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Gardener to join our team, responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor environments. The ideal candidate will have a passion for gardening and horticulture, with experience in landscape maintenance and the use of various tools. This role offers an opportunity to work outdoors in a dynamic setting, contributing to the creation and upkeep of beautiful, functional landscapes.

Responsibilities

Planting, pruning, and cultivating a variety of plants, shrubs, and trees
Using hand tools such as spades, shears, and rakes to maintain garden beds and lawns
Operating power tools including lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, and blowers safely and efficiently
Installing and maintaining irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants
Assisting with landscape design projects and implementing planting schemes
Performing general landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, fertilising, and weed control
Monitoring plant health and identifying pests or diseases for appropriate treatment
Ensuring all work areas are kept clean, safe, and organised at all times

Skills

Proven experience in gardening, horticulture or landscape maintenance
Proficiency in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to landscaping tasks
Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and upkeep
Growing experience with various plant species and understanding their care requirements
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions while maintaining attention to detail
Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
A proactive approach to safety procedures and environmental conservation
