Are you ready to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children? At Waypoint Care, we are searching for compassionate, dedicated individuals to join us as Residential Care Workers in our 3-bed children’s home in Doncaster.

Whether you're just starting your career or looking for a new direction, no prior experience is necessary. We’ll support you every step of the way—including helping you achieve your NVQ Level 3/4 Diploma in Residential Children's Care.

Your Role as a Children's Therapeutic Practitioner
As part of our caring team, you’ll work 10 x 24-hour shifts per month, forming close, supportive relationships with the children and your fellow team members.

You will:

Provide day-to-day care and emotional support to children in your home
Work closely with our Senior Support Workers and Deputy Manager
Support children’s personal development and well-being
Help children build life skills, emotional strength, and social confidence
Collaborate with professionals like therapists, teachers, and social workers to develop personalised care plans
Use kind and calm de-escalation techniques in times of distress or crisis
Maintain accurate records and documentation
Advocate for each child’s voice to be heard and their rights to be respected
Engage positively with families and guardians to keep them informed and involved

Requirements:

Willingness to complete NVQ Level 3/4 Diploma (provided after probation)
Any experience working with children or in a care setting is a plus—but not essential
