Full job description

We are looking for an experienced Halal Butcher to join our team at Ahmad’s Halal Butchers and Groceries. The ideal candidate will be skilled in meat cutting, familiar with working in a busy grocery store environment, and committed to delivering excellent customer service while being a strong team player.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cut fresh halal meat to high standards, including portioning, trimming, and packaging.

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the butchery and store areas in line with food safety regulations.

Assist with grocery stocking, inventory management, and customer queries.

Provide friendly and professional customer service, offering advice on meat cuts and products.

Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth daily operations.

Support store opening/closing procedures as needed.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a butcher with strong meat cutting and preparation skills.

Familiarity with working in a grocery or retail environment.

Excellent customer service skills and a positive, helpful attitude.

Reliable team player who can work well under pressure.

Knowledge of halal meat standards is preferred.

Flexible availability, including weekends.
