Full job description

Do you enjoy working outside and taking pride in keeping local environments clean, safe and welcoming? If so, this could be the role you’ve been looking for.

We’re looking for a Waste Operative 2 with practical knowledge of cleansing and maintaining outdoor environments. You’ll play a vital role in supporting our frontline services and helping to keep our streets and public spaces at their best.

About the Role

You’ll be part of a hardworking and supportive team, carrying out a range of environmental maintenance and cleansing duties. Although training may be available, experience or qualifications in the following area are desirable:

Use of handheld machinery such as:
- Pedestrian street sweepers
- Strimmers, hedge trimmers and air blowers.
CPC Driver qualification (essential)
Full driving license – Class 2 HGV preferred.
Experience operating mechanical brushing equipment.
Needlestick training.
Asbestos awareness.
First Aid at Work.
Manual handling training.

Working Hours

Tuesday to Friday 6:45am – 4:30pm.
