About the Role
Multiplastics Europe Ltd are currently looking for a Machine Assistant / Warehouse Assistant to join our team at our Northwich plant with an immediate start available.
Successful applicants will begin as a Machine Assistant, with progression opportunities available following successful completion of training and probation.
This is a varied hands-on role combining warehouse duties, machine support and FLT work within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Assisting warehouse supervisors with goods inwards and stock movement
- Loading and unloading raw materials into machinery
- FLT work as and when required
- Assisting with machine setup, calibration and cleaning
- Supporting machine operators during production runs
- Monitoring machine performance and reporting issues
- Carrying out quality checks using measuring tools
- Maintaining accurate production and quality records
- Following all health & safety procedures and PPE requirements
Experience & Skills
Experience as a Warehouse Operative, Machine Operator or Machine Assistant would be advantageous but is not essential, as full training will be provided.
Ideal candidates will have:
- Good attention to detail and the ability to spot discrepancies
- Ability to read and understand instructions and production documentation
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Flexibility for overtime when required
- Physical stamina, as the role involves manual handling and physical tasks
- A positive and reliable attitude towards work
Technical knowledge advantageous but not essential:
- Experience with slitting machines and high-speed production machinery
- Familiarity with measurement tools and production procedures
- Understanding of BRCGS and ISO standards
Requirements
- FLT Counterbalance & Reach Licence required
- Commitment to health & safety procedures and safe working practices
- Consistent use of PPE within the production and warehouse environment
