Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a strong commitment to providing exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. As a Cafe Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers enjoy their experience, from food preparation to serving beverages and maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere.

Duties

Assist in the preparation of food and beverages, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and drinks, and addressing customer inquiries.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including tables, counters, and kitchen equipment.
Support bartending duties as required, including mixing drinks and serving alcoholic beverages responsibly.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
Assist with catering events as needed, helping to set up and serve food at various functions.
Uphold high standards of hospitality and professionalism at all times.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or café setting is preferred.
Knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable.
Skills in bartending are advantageous for this role.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy environment.
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
A genuine passion for food and hospitality is essential.
