About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, professional, and customer-focused Restaurant Supervisor to join our team at our busy restaurant with rooms. This is a hands-on role requiring excellent customer service skills, strong organisational abilities, and the confidence to lead by example.

As Restaurant Supervisor, you will be a key member of the front-of-house team, acting as the first point of contact for both restaurant and hotel guests. You will help ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the restaurant while assisting with hotel reception duties, including guest check-ins and check-outs.

Key Responsibilities

Supervising daily restaurant service and ensuring high standards are maintained at all times.
Welcoming and assisting restaurant and hotel guests in a friendly and professional manner.
Managing guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and accurately.
Acting as the first point of contact for guest enquiries, requests, and complaints.
Supporting and motivating front-of-house team members during service.
Ensuring excellent customer service and guest satisfaction throughout the guest journey.
Taking reservations and managing restaurant bookings.
Assisting with room reservations and guest communications.
Handling payments and cash reconciliation procedures.
Maintaining cleanliness and presentation standards throughout the restaurant and reception areas.
Working closely with kitchen, housekeeping, and management teams to ensure smooth operations.
Assisting with staff training and maintaining service standards.

Requirements

Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant supervision, hotel reception, or a similar customer-facing role.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment.
Flexible approach to working evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Experience with hotel booking systems is advantageous but not essential.
A positive attitude and commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences.
