Kitchen Porter – Toast & Timber, Abergavenny

Full Time | Immediate Start Available | Daytime Hours

We’re looking for a hardworking and reliable Kitchen Porter to join our team at Toast & Timber.

Toast & Timber is a busy independent brunch house and coffee shop in the heart of Abergavenny. Since opening, we’ve been overwhelmed by the support from the local community and are looking for someone to help keep our kitchen running smoothly during this exciting period of growth.

The Role

As a Kitchen Porter, you’ll be an essential part of our kitchen team, helping to maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation and food safety.

This is a fast-paced role that requires a positive attitude, a strong work ethic and the ability to work well under pressure.

Working Hours

● Full-time and part time positions available

● Daytime hours only

● Shifts between 8:00am and 6:00pm

● Earlier finish on Sundays

● Weekend availability required

Responsibilities

● Washing dishes, pots, pans and kitchen equipment

● Keeping kitchen areas clean, tidy and organised

● Assisting with deliveries and stock storage

● Supporting chefs with basic food preparation when required

● Ensuring cleaning schedules are completed

● Following food safety and hygiene procedures

● Taking pride in maintaining a clean and safe working environment

About You

● Hardworking and dependable

● Able to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment

● Positive attitude and willingness to learn

● Good attention to detail

● Team player with a strong work ethic

● Previous kitchen experience is helpful but not essential as full training will be provided
