Full job description

heightec is a leading provider for equipment and training for work at height. We are looking for someone to assist in the manufacture of safety equipment and related products. Experience of work in a manufacturing environment desirable but not essential as full training will be given. The work will involve some lifting.

Job Purpose

You will receive full training in the use of automatic and manual industrial machines to process components and assemble PPE products for the work at height industry.

Responsibilities

· Carrying out production processes according to written and verbal work instructions

· Maintaining machinery and work area to an acceptable standard

· Complying with Health and Safety requirements

· Assembly of parts

· Inspection of parts and finished goods using measuring equipment and performing simple calculations where necessary

· Assist with packaging and labelling

· Ensuring the work area remains clean, tidy and organised

· Cutting out materials

· Contribute to maintaining accurate stock levels

· Other duties as required

Competence

Full training will be provided. Experience of a production environment and working to deadlines would be an advantage.

Personal Skills

Ability to work under pressure as well as having an excellent attention to detail. An aptitude for practical tasks would be an advantage.

Essential Skills

You will need the ability to follow written instruction and be willing to learn new skills.
