Barista Full Time Jesmond, Clayton Rd

Location: Newgreek Bakery Jesmond

Shifts: Early starts from 7:00 – flexibility across weekdays is essential

About the Role

We are looking for passionate, experienced Baristas to join our team in Newcastle. This is a customer-facing role where delivering an exceptional experience every single time is at the heart of everything we do. If you take pride in your craft, love connecting with people, and thrive in a busy environment, we’d love to hear from you.

Full time position

What You’ll Be Doing

Delivering outstanding customer service on every interaction – this is the most important part of the role
Crafting high quality coffee with confidence, including latte art to a consistently high standard
Working efficiently and calmly during busy periods without compromising on quality
Taking customer orders, handling payments, and keeping the service flowing
Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across the coffee bar and surrounding areas
Supporting your teammates and contributing to a positive team environment
Opening and setting up for the day, including early morning starts from 7:00

What We’re Looking For

Previous experience in a fast paced barista role is essential
Confident and skilled with latte art
A genuine passion for customer service – you go above and beyond as standard
Flexible availability including weekday shifts and summer cover
Comfortable with early starts – our first shifts begin at 7 am
Ability to stay calm, focused and friendly when it gets busy
A team player who takes pride in their work and the environment around them
Food hygiene certificate is desirable but not essential – training can be provided
