Construction Site Manager
Location: Forest Row, East Sussex (covering Sussex, Surrey, Kent and South London)

We specialise in insurance reinstatement works, structural repairs, listed buildings, heritage properties, commercial refurbishments, schools, healthcare facilities, care homes, residential developments and high-end private projects.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced, motivated and professional Construction Site Manager to join our expanding team.

The Role
Reporting directly to the Contracts Managers and Quantity Surveyors, you will take responsibility for the successful day-to-day management of construction sites from project commencement through to completion.
You will ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the exceptional standards our clients have come to expect.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all day-to-day site operations.
- Supervise directly employed operatives and subcontractors.
- Manage multiple trades and subcontract packages simultaneously.
- Coordinate labour, plant, materials and deliveries.
- Produce and maintain construction programmes.
- Monitor project progress and report regularly to senior management.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on time and within budget.
- Carry out quality inspections and ensure the highest standards of workmanship.
- Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks and regular Health & Safety inspections.
- Ensure compliance with current Building Regulations, CDM Regulations and company procedures.
- Review RAMS and ensure safe systems of work are implemented.
- Identify variations, site issues and programme risks.
- Liaise professionally with clients, surveyors, architects, engineers, insurers and contract administrators.
- Maintain accurate site records, daily diaries, progress photographs, quality documentation, and submit daily progress updates through the company's project management software, ensuring all site activities, issues, variations and key milestones are recorded promptly and accurately.
- Assist with project handovers and completion documentation.

- NVQ Level 7 Senior Construction Management (or equivalent)

Experience Required
The successful candidate will have:
- At least five years' experience managing construction projects.
- Strong supervisory and leadership experience.
- Experience managing subcontract packages from commencement through to completion.
- Experience coordinating multiple trades simultaneously.
- Experience working on refurbishment, structural alteration and construction projects.
- A strong understanding of traditional and modern construction methods.
- Excellent knowledge of Building Regulations and Health & Safety legislation.
- Experience producing site reports and maintaining quality management systems.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Good commercial awareness with the ability to identify variations and potential cost risks.
Experience within insurance reinstatement, structural repairs, listed buildings or occupied properties would be highly advantageous, although not essential.

Essential Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Own van suitable for travelling between sites.
- Own hand tools appropriate for carrying out site management duties and minor site works where required.
- Willing to travel throughout Sussex, Surrey, Kent and South London.
- Confident using tablets, smartphones and Microsoft Office, together with the company's project management software, to complete site records, daily reports and communicate with the office.
- Right to work in the UK.
