Premier Forest Products is currently recruiting for a Bench Joiner to join our busy joinery workshop at our Mon Timber branch in Newport.
Our workshop specialises in bespoke joinery for a wide range of commercial developments. We manufacture high-quality products including windows, staircases, reception desks, fitted bedroom furniture, and other custom pieces. Our portfolio includes projects across hotels, care homes, hospitals, and schools.
What you will be doing …..
You will be responsible for assembling and producing high-quality bespoke joinery products, working both independently and as part of the workshop team.
Your day-to-day duties will include:
· Working accurately from technical drawings to manufacture bespoke joinery products.
· Assembling joinery items including doors, windows, staircases, and fitted furniture.
· Operating a range of woodworking machinery and hand tools.
· Measuring, setting out, and preparing materials for assembly.
· Carrying out basic maintenance of woodworking machinery.
· Supporting general workshop activities as required.
What we are looking for …..
Previous experience in a similar bench joinery role.
A relevant qualification in wood occupations or being time-served.
Excellent attention to detail and quality standards.
Strong timekeeping and ability to meet deadlines.
A flexible and proactive approach, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
