Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Procurement Manager to oversee the organisation’s purchasing activities and optimise supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement processes, excellent negotiation skills, and proficiency with ERP systems . This role offers an opportunity to lead procurement initiatives, manage supplier relationships, and contribute to the organisation’s operational efficiency. Applicants should be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working within a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organisational goals to ensure cost-effective purchasing of goods and services.
Manage end-to-end procurement processes including sourcing, tendering, contract negotiation, and supplier evaluation.
Utilise ERP system to track procurement activities, analyse data, and generate reports for management review.
Negotiate favourable terms with suppliers while maintaining strong professional relationships.
Coordinate logistics and inventory management to ensure timely delivery of materials and minimise stock shortages.
Monitor supply chain performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with internal departments to understand their procurement needs and provide tailored solutions.
Ensure compliance with organisational policies, legal requirements, and industry standards related to procurement activities.
Lead negotiations for long-term supplier agreements and manage ongoing supplier performance assessments.

Qualifications

Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management within a similar industry.
Strong proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS is essential.
Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of securing favourable terms.
Knowledge of logistics operations and supply chain optimisation techniques.
Familiarity with procurement best practices, legal considerations, and compliance standards.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Effective communication skills to liaise confidently with suppliers, internal teams, and senior management.
A recognised qualification in supply chain management or procurement is desirable but not essential. This role provides an excellent platform for professionals eager to lead strategic procurement initiatives within a dynamic organisation committed to operational excellence.
