Job Description

We’re looking for a Sous Chef to join the team at The Sundancer — a beachfront restaurant and café focused on locally sourced produce, simple, well-executed dishes, and food that matches the setting.

With a steady flow of locals and visitors, our menus are built around fresh, seasonal ingredients and consistency. This is a great opportunity for a chef who takes pride in their work and wants to be part of a strong, supportive kitchen team.

The Role

Taking in deliveries and ensuring quality and consistency of produce
Supporting prep and service across all sections of the kitchen
Maintaining high standards in food quality, cleanliness, and organisation
Assisting the Head Chef with menu development and seasonal changes
Helping manage stock, GP, and kitchen efficiency
Supporting and developing junior members of the team
Stepping up to run the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence

This is a hands-on role in a busy kitchen where standards and teamwork matter.

Solid experience in a similar role
Confident working across all sections
Organised, reliable, and consistent under pressure
A good understanding of fresh, seasonal produce
Positive attitude and strong team player
Keen to learn, develop, and contribute to the kitchen
