Head of Packaging Innovation

A rare opportunity to shape the future of packaging innovation.

Ballantine Recruitment is partnering with a leading UK manufacturer to appoint a Head of Packaging Innovation.

This is a strategic leadership role offering the opportunity to drive packaging innovation, sustainability and continuous improvement within a growing business committed to quality and innovation.

You'll lead the packaging strategy, working closely with cross-functional teams to develop commercially successful packaging solutions from concept through to launch. This is an opportunity to influence business-wide decisions, introduce new technologies and play a key role in the company's future growth.

The Role

Lead the packaging innovation strategy across the business.
Drive sustainability initiatives and material innovation.
Deliver packaging projects from concept through to commercial launch.
Work closely with Commercial, Technical, NPD, Marketing, Operations and Supply Chain teams.
Build strong supplier relationships and identify emerging packaging technologies.
Ensure packaging solutions meet commercial, technical and regulatory requirements.

About You

You'll be an experienced packaging professional with a background in Food or FMCG manufacturing, capable of balancing innovation, technical excellence and commercial objectives.

You'll have:

Proven experience delivering packaging innovation.
Strong knowledge of sustainable packaging materials and technologies.
Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
The ability to influence at all levels and drive meaningful change.
