Full job description

Are you passionate about food, enjoy working as part of a team, and want to make a difference to the lives of others?

We are looking for a Catering Assistant to join our catering team at a residential care home.

The Role

Working 3 days out of 7 on a weekly rota - 15 hours per week
Includes weekend and bank holiday working as required
Year-round position

As a Catering Assistant, you will help provide a high-quality dining experience for residents, supporting the preparation and service of nutritious meals in a caring and professional environment.

What We're Looking For

A positive and reliable team player
Good communication and customer service skills
Previous catering, hospitality, or care sector experience would be beneficial but is not essential
A current Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable, or a willingness to obtain one

Key Responsibilities

Assisting with food preparation and meal service
Serving meals to residents in a friendly and respectful manner
Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
Supporting the catering team with washing up and general kitchen duties
Ensuring compliance with food safety and health & safety procedures
