Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handyman/woman to undertake a variety of maintenance and repair tasks across residential, commercial, and industrial properties. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of practical skills, including carpentry, roofing, plumbing, and electrical work, to ensure properties are well-maintained and safe. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a versatile tradesperson to utilise their expertise in a dynamic environment while contributing to the upkeep and improvement of our clients' properties.

Duties

Carry out carpentry repairs such as fixing doors, windows, and furniture.
Perform roofing tasks including patching leaks and replacing tiles or shingles.
Conduct construction painting to refresh surfaces and prepare areas for decoration.
Undertake plumbing repairs such as fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and installing fixtures.
Execute masonry work including bricklaying, repointing, and concrete repairs.
Carry out welding tasks for structural repairs or fabrication projects.
Handle electrical work such as installing lighting fixtures, switches, and outlets (where qualified).
Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various repair tasks.
Fabricate customised components or structures as required for specific projects.
Maintain a clean and organised workspace during and after completion of tasks.
Ensure all work complies with relevant safety standards and building regulations.

Skills

Proven experience in carpentry, roofing, construction painting, plumbing, masonry, welding, electrical work, or related trades.
Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, chisels, etc., and power tools including drills, saws, grinders.
Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
Strong problem-solving skills with the capacity to adapt to diverse repair challenges.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
Good physical fitness to handle manual labour tasks efficiently.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments.
A valid UK driving licence is desirable but not essential depending on the scope of work. This position provides an engaging opportunity for a versatile professional eager to apply their broad skill set in maintaining high standards across multiple property types.
