Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our team, responsible for delivering high-quality painting and decorating services across various projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in both residential and commercial settings, demonstrating attention to detail and a professional approach. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilise your artistic flair, and contribute to transforming spaces with colour and finish. Work in a self employed basis

Duties

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, and masking to ensure a smooth finish
Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other decorative finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment
Interpret technical drawings and specifications to meet project requirements
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards
Communicate effectively with clients and team members to coordinate work schedules and project details
Maintain tools and equipment in good working order
Assist with colour matching and selecting appropriate materials for each project
Complete projects within agreed timeframes whilst maintaining high standards of quality

Experience

Proven experience in construction painting and decorating, with a portfolio of completed projects preferred
Valid driving licence is desirable for travelling between sites
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments
Knowledge of health and safety procedures relevant to painting and decorating works

This role requires applicants to be organised, reliable, and attentive to detail. A background in construction painting combined with excellent communication skills will ensure success in this position. The ability to drive between sites is advantageous but not essential. Candidates should demonstrate a passion for craftsmanship and a commitment to delivering exceptional results on every project.

Pay: £17.00 per hour
