Job Vacancy – Marine Parts Advisor / Stock Controller

We are looking for:

· Marine Parts Advisor / Stock Controller

· Full Time – Monday to Friday - 40 hours

· Plymouth Marine Centre PL9 7HP

About Us:

Plymouth Marine are one of the most experienced and well equipped marine outboard and inboard engine dealerships in the Southwest and are dealers for Honda, Mercury, Mariner, Yamaha, Mercruiser Inboards, Seadoo watercraft, Highfield RIBS, Beneteau and Nimbus boats, SBS trailers and more.

Our waterside facility provides a ‘one stop shop’ for all your marine engine sales, boat sales, servicing, spare part sales, marine electronics, safety checks & marine repairs for customers in the Plymouth, Torbay, South West Devon & Cornwall area. Boat storage, recovery & cranage are also available at our premises.

The Role:

With a focus on delivering exceptional customer service, this role would suit someone with parts and small warehouse experience relating to stock control, experience or an interest in a marine environment an advantage but not necessary as all training will be given. Training opportunities and career development available. The role involves assisting customers with selecting and purchasing marine part and accessories, maintaining inventory levels, processing sales transactions and providing expert advice on marine products.

This role reports directly to the Managing Director.

Key Responsibilities:

· Adopt a flexible and friendly approach to working with trade customers, retail customers and our own engineers, making a good impression is important either over the phone and customer facing.

· Answer parts calls in a timely and professional manner, processing orders efficiently ensuring a high level of accuracy. Provide information on the availability and suitability of parts in line with customer needs.

· Processing sales, dealing with goods in and out, ordering and picking parts for our service team.

· Understanding and maintaining a high level of stock control, performing continuous rolling stock takes, maintaining stock levels of high turn over items and keeping a clean and organised stock room.

Location:

Plymstock, Plymouth

Salary:

£30,000 to £32,000 per annum, dependent upon experience

Hours:

Monday to Friday 8am until 5pm
