Position: Production / Assembly operative

Hours of Work: Full time 38 hours per week Mon - Thur 7:30>4:00, Friday 7:30 > 2:00

Salary £12.75 - £15.00 (dependent on experience)

Overview

Based in Ferrybridge, Pontefract we are one of the leading manufactures of bespoke timber garden sheds and timber buildings.

We are looking for production operatives/Bench Joiners to join our busy team.

This is a hands-on role requiring a high level of woodworking skills, experience in working with a variety of power tools and a commitment to working to a high standard of quality..

Key Responsibilities include:

Work as part of the manufacturing team producing and assembling garden building parts.
Working with timber, Hand and Power tools and manufacturing equipment
Follow verbal and written instructions following drawings and specifications.
Preparing products ready for dispatch.
Contribute to quality, safety and the continuous improvement

About you:

Reliable and hardworking individual
With a positive proactive attitude with a willingness to learn
Physically fit with the ability to move heavy components.
Strong woodworking background essential, prior experience preferred.
Highly organised with a high level of accuracy and strong detail to attention
Confident and proactive able to think on their feet, and able to use own initiative, to ensure projects are completed on time
With excellent communication skills.
Flexible and Willing to learn and able to manage a varied workload, adapting as priorities change
Happy to work as part of a small team and occasionally working alone.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £12.75-£15.00 per hour
