Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Bar Staff/Bar Manager. This role involves delivering exceptional customer service in a lively hospitality environment, ensuring smooth operation of the bar, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Duties

Welcome guests and take orders efficiently, providing friendly and professional service at all times
Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks,
Manage bar stock levels, restocking supplies as needed, and ensuring proper storage of all items
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area in compliance with health and safety regulations
Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the point-of-sale system
Monitor guest behaviour to ensure responsible alcohol service and prevent over-serving
Organise shifts, manage staff rotas, and oversee daily operations to ensure efficient service delivery
Ensure compliance with licensing laws and health & safety regulations at all times

Requirements

Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant environments, preferably in bar service or management roles
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
Good basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, approachable manner
Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail
Experience in serving alcohol responsibly and understanding licensing laws is desirable
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required by the business schedule
