Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fire and Security Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining fire and security systems across various sites. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, ensuring safety and security standards are met with precision and professionalism. The ideal applicant will possess strong technical expertise, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Duties

Design and develop fire and security systems tailored to client specifications.
Install, commission, and maintain fire alarm, CCTV, access control, and intruder alarm systems in compliance with relevant regulations.
Interpret schematics and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation of electrical and mechanical components.
Use hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely and effectively during installation and maintenance tasks.
Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure optimal performance of all security infrastructure.
Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Document system configurations, modifications, and maintenance activities accurately for record-keeping purposes.

Qualifications

Proven experience in system design for fire and security systems.
Mechanical knowledge related to the installation of security hardware and components.
Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and construction practices.
Strong electrical experience with the ability to interpret electrical schematics effectively is a bonus
Knowledge of relevant safety standards, building codes, and regulations governing fire safety and security systems.
Familiarity with schematics, technical drawings, and system documentation.
Previous experience working within the construction or facilities management sectors is advantageous.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This role offers a dynamic working environment where technical expertise is valued alongside a commitment to safety standards.
