Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced NVQ 3 Qualified Painter & Decorator to join our team at Morgan Dodd. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality painting and decorating services across various residential and commercial properties within Manchester and West Yorkshire areas. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. The position offers an opportunity to utilise your expertise in construction painting while contributing to the enhancement of our clients' spaces. Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and filling as necessary to ensure a smooth finish.
Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other decorative finishes with precision and care.
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards.
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their requirements and provide professional advice.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, including tools and equipment.
Manage time effectively to complete projects within agreed deadlines.
Collaborate with other tradespeople on larger projects to ensure seamless execution.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Painter & Decorator within construction or refurbishment settings.
Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation between sites.
Strong knowledge of painting techniques, materials, colour matching, and decorating styles.
Excellent communication skills in English to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or as part of a team on larger projects.
Good organisational skills with attention to detail to deliver high-quality finishes.
