Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Qualified Dental Nurse/Receptionist to cover maternity leave. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your clinical and administrative skills within a friendly dental practice. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care while managing reception duties efficiently, ensuring smooth daily operations. The position is paid and suitable for a motivated individual looking to contribute to patient wellbeing and practice success.

Responsibilities

Assisting the dental team during procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
Preparing treatment rooms and sterilising equipment in accordance with infection control protocols
Providing exceptional patient care, including explaining treatments and post-care instructions
Managing appointment scheduling, patient records, and administrative tasks using IT systems
Greeting patients warmly, checking in and out, and handling enquiries professionally
Maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring compliance with practice policies
Supporting the reception area by managing phone calls, emails, and correspondence efficiently
Upholding high standards of hygiene, health & safety, and confidentiality at all times

Skills

Proven experience as a Dental Nurse or similar role within a dental setting
Strong patient care skills with excellent communication abilities in English
Good organisational skills to manage appointments and administrative duties effectively
Competent IT skills for handling practice management software and electronic records
Excellent communication skills to liaise confidently with patients and team members
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
A caring attitude with a professional approach to patient service and teamwork

Pay: £13.00-£14.50 per hour
