As part of our Apprentice intake for 2026, we are looking to recruit a Mechanical Apprentices to work within our Delivery teams The following opportunities are available in the following regions: 1 x Wales, 2 x South West, 3 x Southern

Our projects range in value from £5k to £15m, taking the role of Principal Contractor and Principal Designer on various schemes, and supporting our valued Tier 1 contractor clients in a subcontractor and off-site manufacturing capacity.

The Role

As an Apprentice, you will be working alongside a team of experienced engineers, assisting in electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance across various client sites. You will receive on-the-job training and support to develop your skills and knowledge in electrical engineering.

Contracted to 40hrs per week Monday to Friday. Paid hourly, with overtime paid.

This is a field-based role. You will be paid your travel time door to door.

Key responsibilities include:

Assisting in mechanical installations, repairs, and maintenance
Learning how to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Following health and safety procedures and wearing personal protective equipment
Communicating effectively with team members and clients
Maintaining a clean and organized work area

Please note that we do not have a training provider for this role yet, and we will source this once we have employed a candidate. The training provider we use will be dependent on te level of experience and qualifications of the candidate.

Requirements

Essential:

Strong interest in Mechanical engineering
Enthusiastic and motivated to learn
Excellent attention to detail
Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Good communication skills
Reliable and punctual
GCSEs in Maths, English and Science (grade 4/C or higher)
Due to the nature of the work we complete, you must be 18+ years old
You will sometimes be required to get to site on your own, so a full UK driving license and your own vehicle is necessary.

Desirable:

Previous work experience or education related to engineering
Basic knowledge of tools and equipment used in mechanical work.
