We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Maths to join our thriving team at Cottenham Village College. Key responsibilities
As a Teacher of Maths, you will:

Deliver high-quality lessons that engage, challenge and inspire learners

Plan and teach a well-structured curriculum that meets the needs of all pupils

Assess, monitor and report on student progress in line with academy expectations

Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes excellent behaviour for learning

Provide timely and effective feedback to support pupil progress
-
Support pupils of all abilities, including those with SEND and those at risk of underachievement
-
Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development and continuous improvement
-
Participate in enrichment opportunities and wider school life
-
Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and raise standards
-
Fulfil pastoral responsibilities as a form tutor, supporting pupils’ personal development
These responsibilities align with the expectation to provide outstanding learning experiences, promote high standards of behaviour, and support pupil progress across a range of needs.

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong subject knowledge in Mathematics

Has the ability to plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons

Has strong knowledge of the curriculum and assessment practices

Can create a stimulating learning environment that supports progress
