Job Overview
We are seeking passionate and skilled chefs at all levels to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, supervising kitchen operations, and maintaining food safety standards. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a diverse range of dishes in accordance with recipes and presentation standards
- Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to health and safety regulations
- Manage food production processes, including portion control and quality assurance
- Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative ideas
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment at all times
- Oversee food safety procedures, including storage, handling, and sanitation practices
- Support team management by training new staff and fostering a positive work environment
- Serve dishes efficiently to customers when required, ensuring excellent customer service standards are met
Experience
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen setting
- Supervising experience is desirable but not essential for entry-level roles; leadership qualities are valued across all levels
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management
- Experience in food production, restaurant operations, or hospitality environments is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team, managing multiple tasks under pressure
- Familiarity with various cooking techniques, culinary trends, and presentation skills
- Previous experience in food service or serving roles is beneficial but not mandatory for all positions
