Full job description

Celino’s Alexandra Parade G31 3BT is a busy multi award winning Italian restaurant & delicatessen in the heart of Glasgow’s East End. We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis.

This role offers 4-day or a 5-day working week.

Key Responsibilities

Assisting the Head Chef in running a high-volume, fresh-food kitchen during peak service, including weekends.
Taking full responsibility for the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, including running the pass.
Managing stock control, ordering, and minimising waste.
Supervising, training, and mentoring junior team members (CDPs and commis chefs).
Ensuring all HACCP, health and hygiene, and food safety standards are maintained at all times.

Salary

Salary: between £15.00 per hour and £16.50 per hour
Weekly guaranteed tips
Working Week: Genuine 4-day or 5-day working week.
Meals: Complimentary staff meal.
Discounts: 10% off food and drinks for the candidate and guest.

The Ideal Candidate

Minimum 2 years' experience at sous chef level in a high volume Italian restaurant.
Ability to perform under pressure during peak service without compromising standards.
Full right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available for this role).

Pay: £15.00-£16.50 per hour
