Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Solar Installer to join our renewable energy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing solar photovoltaic systems on residential and commercial properties. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to sustainable energy solutions while developing technical skills in a fast-growing industry. The position requires physical labour, technical aptitude, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.

Duties

Prepare installation sites by clearing and levelling surfaces as required.
Assemble and install solar panels, mounting systems, and electrical components according to specifications and safety regulations.
Operate specialised equipment such as excavators when necessary for site preparation.
Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to secure components effectively.
Conduct electrical wiring and connections in compliance with electrical codes and standards.
Perform system testing to ensure optimal operation before handover to clients.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety protocols at all times.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently within scheduled timeframes.

Skills

Experience with solar and battery installations from start to finish is necessary.
Experience with Sigenergy and Fox ESS is necessary.
Experience with off grid Victron systems is advantageous.
Experience with excavators, welding, hand tools, and power tools is highly desirable.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Electrical experience or background in electrical systems is advantageous.
Good physical fitness with the ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Commitment to safety procedures and continuous learning in renewable energy technologies.
