Are you an engaging and enthusiastic communicator with a passion for supporting people?

We’re looking to welcome a People Assistant to our wider People team in Sheffield (S35) on a full-time, fixed-term contract for 6 months. In return, you’ll receive a competitive salary of £27,000.

Key resposnabilities:

Provide administrative support across key People processes, including starters, leavers, employee changes, employee relations activities, absence notifications, and Fit Notes
Ensure all data is accurate and up to date within the central HR system, including completion of new starter documentation and right-to-work checks
Support Managers with disciplinary and grievance processes, including conducting investigations where appropriate, advising during hearings, taking accurate notes, and confirming outcomes
Assist with colleague communications, including maintaining communication boards and notice areas across site
Provide general confidential administrative support to the wider People team as required

Requirements

Previous experience in an administrative or assistant role is preferred
Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Demonstrates a strong understanding of and respect for confidentiality
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the confidence to engage with a wide range of internal stakeholders
Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy when handling data
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Pay: £27,000.00 per year
