Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Grill Cook to join our dynamic team at Smash Burger. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food preparation and culinary excellence, with a focus on delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a vibrant team committed to exceptional customer service and food safety standards.

Duties

Prepare and cook burgers, fries, and other menu items according to company recipes and standards
Ensure all food is prepared efficiently, maintaining consistency in taste and presentation
Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, adhering to health and safety regulations
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including surfaces, utensils, and cooking equipment
Assist in stock rotation, inventory management, and ordering supplies as needed
Follow food safety protocols at all times to ensure customer health and safety
Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent service during busy periods
Support the overall cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or similar setting
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Excellent meal preparation skills with attention to detail
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
Previous restaurant experience is desirable but not essential; a passion for culinary arts is a plus
Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
Serving experience is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
