Salary: £27,780 - £30,000 (Pro-rata, DOE) + Pension + 25 Days Annual Leave + 8 Public Holidays

Clearwater Sensors Ltd. is a rapidly growing green-tech company specializing in environmental sensor development. Founded in 2019, we design and manufacture cutting-edge water chemistry analysers for applications such as water quality monitoring and industrial process analysis. With strong sales growth and multiple research grants secured, we are looking for a skilled Sensor Manufacturing / Service Technician to support our operations.
The Role
This position involves manufacturing, testing, and servicing environmental sensors, ensuring quality control, and supporting field deployments. It requires a hands-on approach, working with electro-mechanical components, fluidics, and calibration processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and manufacture high-quality sensor components and final products.
- Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and servicing of production units and customer returns.
- Perform calibration procedures and quality control assessments.
- Occasional Site Installation work within the UK
- Maintain an organized and safe working environment, following 5S standards.
- Support stock management, reporting shortages, and assisting in procurement.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and records for quality and compliance purposes.
- Provide occasional on-site installation and customer support.
Skills and Experience
- Experience in electro-mechanical assembly and testing.
- Familiarity with printed circuit board assembly and soldering.
- Basic knowledge of fluidics and chemical preparation (training provided).
- Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Qualifications
- GCSEs with relevant industry experience in manufacturing or servicing.
- Apprenticeship in a technical field or BTEC in engineering preferred.
Additional Requirements
- Right to work in the UK.
- Willingness to work off-site occasionally.
