Jay Dee Steel Limited is looking for an experienced and reliable Welder Fabricator to join our small, friendly team.
We undertake a wide range of structural steelwork, bespoke fabrication, site installation, and general blacksmithing projects. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, is dependable, and wants to become a long-term member of a growing company.
This role is suited to an experienced tradesperson with a minimum of 10 years’ fabrication and welding experience. Applicants should be confident working independently, fabricating from drawings, and carrying out both workshop and site work with minimal supervision.
We’re not looking for someone to simply fill a position – we’re looking for the right person to become a valued member of our team for the long term. Reliability, commitment, and a positive attitude are just as important to us as technical ability.
The Ideal Candidate
- Minimum 10 years’ fabrication and welding experience.
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
- Looking to join a small team where their contribution genuinely matters.
- Strong MIG welding skills.
- Competent MMA (stick) welding skills for site work.
- Able to read and work from fabrication drawings.
- Experience in structural steelwork and general fabrication.
- Flexible and willing to undertake a variety of workshop and site-based tasks.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Responsibilities
- Fabrication and assembly of structural steelwork and bespoke metalwork.
- MIG and MMA welding in both workshop and site environments.
- General fabrication and blacksmithing work.
- Site installation work when required.
- Working from engineering and fabrication drawings.
- Maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and housekeeping.
- Working closely with the team to deliver projects on time.

Pay: £12.33-£16.50 per hour
