Job Title: Office Administrator / Office StaffJob Summary

We are looking for a friendly, organised and reliable Office Administrator to join our busy roofing company. This is a key role within the business, acting as the first point of contact for customers while providing administrative support to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the office. The successful candidate will be confident communicating with customers, suppliers and colleagues, able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Answer incoming telephone calls professionally and direct enquiries appropriately.
Book appointments for roofing surveys, quotations and work schedules.
Liaise with customers to arrange appointments, provide updates and answer general enquiries.
Communicate with suppliers to order materials, check availability and coordinate deliveries.
Maintain accurate customer records and update company systems.
Process emails and respond to customer enquiries promptly.
Coordinate diaries for surveyors and roofing teams.
Prepare and organise paperwork, quotations and other office documents.
Monitor and manage office supplies.
Support the management team with general administrative duties.
Ensure excellent customer service is delivered at all times.

Skills and ExperienceEssential

Previous experience in an office administration or customer service role.
Excellent telephone manner and communication skills.
Strong organisational and time management abilities.
Good IT skills.
Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively under pressure.
Professional, friendly and approachable attitude.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Desirable

Experience working within the construction or roofing industry.

Personal Qualities

Reliable and punctual.
Positive and proactive approach to work.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexible and adaptable in a busy office environment.
