Full job description

Overview

We are looking for a proactive and organised Assistant Buyer to support procurement activities across the Palram UK businesses. You will assist with the purchasing of raw materials, consumables, services and equipment, helping to ensure continuity of supply while delivering value and supporting business objectives.

Responsibilities

Raise and manage purchase orders to achieve on-time and in-full delivery.
Monitor inventory levels and support stock replenishment.
Assist with the procurement of raw materials, consumables and services.
Build and maintain effective supplier relationships.
Obtain quotations and support price and contract negotiations.
Monitor supplier performance and resolve supply issues.
Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation.
Support cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
Monitor market trends and pricing information.
Work closely with internal teams to support operational requirements.
Undertake other duties as required to meet business needs.

Experience

Previous purchasing, procurement or supply chain experience desirable.
Strong organisational and administrative skills.
Good commercial awareness and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and business systems.
Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem solving.
Professional, flexible and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Pay

Salary: £28,000 - £29,000 per annum, dependent on experience.

Hours

Monday to Friday
38.75 per week. Flexible working hours available as per company policy.
