Aquarius Home Improvements is one of the East Midlands’ leading bathroom, kitchen and bedroom installation companies. Based in Ilkeston, we design, supply and install home improvements across Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire.
Due to continued growth, we are looking to expand our installation teams and are seeking experienced bathroom installers and multi-skilled tradespeople who take pride in their workmanship and customer service.
This is a full-time PAYE position offering consistent local work, job security, company support and opportunities for further development.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality bathroom installations in customers’ homes throughout the East Midlands.
Typical work includes:
- Plumbing and pipework alterations
- Bathroom suite installation
- Wall tiling and PVC wall panelling
- Flooring installation
- Studwork and plasterboarding
- General bathroom building works
- Working directly with customers in their homes
- Maintaining the high standards Aquarius is known for
Who We’re Looking For
Ideally, you’ll already be an experienced bathroom installer capable of completing installations from start to finish.
However, we also welcome applications from experienced tradespeople with strong transferable skills who are looking to move into bathroom installations.
Suitable backgrounds may include:
- Plumbing
- Kitchen fitting
- Carpentry and joinery
- Property maintenance
- Building and renovation work
- Multi-skilled trades
Applicants must already possess strong practical trade skills and be comfortable working independently in customers’ homes.
Whilst we are happy to provide guidance and training in certain aspects of bathroom installation, we are not looking for complete beginners and applicants must be capable of carrying out a substantial proportion of the installation work themselves.

Essential Requirements
- Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a relevant trade
- Experience working within domestic properties
- Strong practical trade skills
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and solve problems
- Local to Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire or Leicestershire

Before You Apply

This role is unlikely to be suitable if you:
- Have little or no hands-on trade experience
- Are looking for an apprenticeship or trainee position
- Have not worked in customers’ homes previously
- Require constant supervision throughout the day
- Are seeking office-based or remote work
- Are not looking for a long-term position within the construction and home improvement industry
