HGV Class 2 Driver – Job Vacancy

J&K Aquatics are currently seeking a reliable HGV Class 2 Driver. This is a full-time permanent position, with an immediate start available.

Your Profile:

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the UK’s leading suppliers of aquatics and reptile goods as part of our transport and delivery team. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our products reach customers safely, efficiently, and on schedule, while representing the company to a high standard.

You will be a confident and responsible driver with a strong commitment to road safety, vehicle care, and excellent customer service. You are reliable, organised, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. A positive, “can-do” attitude is essential, along with the flexibility to manage routes and delivery schedules. Holding a valid HGV Class 2 licence, CPC and Digi Card is required. This role includes nights away on a regular basis.

J&K Aquatics has grown from a small retail store in Wellington, Somerset, into one of the UK’s leading suppliers of aquatic and reptile products currently based just off the motorway at junction 24, North Petherton. Since the 1980s, we’ve kept moving forward - expanding our ranges, developing new solutions, and supporting retailers nationwide.

Our business also operates across three core areas: Products, with one of the widest ranges available; Livestock & Retailer Support, including dependable fish systems; and Bespoke Fabrication, delivering custom-built solutions. All of this is backed by our friendly, knowledgeable team, always ready to help.

Key Benefits:

Pay Rate: From £14.25 per hour + Daily Meal Allowance (Equates to around £15.00+ per hour)

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday (No weekend work)

Hours: Between 50-55 hours a week

Job Type: Permanent

Monthly Pay

Duties include, but are not limited to:

· Multi-drop delivering through-out the UK & Ireland.

· Some handball may be required, but loads palletised where possible

· Nights away (up to 3 nights a week, this will vary depending on route)

· Complete between 10-12 deliveries per day

· Deliver goods safely, efficiently, and professionally

· Assist with manual handling

· Deliver excellent customer service

· Maintain accurate delivery documentation

Candidate Requirements:

· Valid HGV Licence

· CPC Card

· Digi Tacho

· Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
