Security Controller
- Location: Telford (Head Office), covering Shropshire and surrounding areas

- Shift: Not limited to but subject to a Monday to Friday pattern (1630 - 0300).

The Role:
Based at our Telford head office, you will work alongside the Duty Supervisor to oversee the general management of staff, resources, and administrative tasks during your shift. While primarily office-based, this role requires a hands-on approach, including field patrols and site visits when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Manage staff and resources on shift; address substandard work, and implement measures to improve performance and accountability.
- Compliance & Quality Control: Conduct equipment and vehicle checks; audit mobile drivers' documentation, and verify that officers are in full uniform with SIA licenses clearly displayed.
- Site Management: Conduct supervisory visits to client sites, prioritising checks on relief officers to ensure competency.
- Risk Assessments: Complete thorough risk assessments for both new and existing client premises.
- Incident Response: Respond promptly to alarm call-outs and accurately manage all related documentation.
- Roster Management: Inform managers of roster amendments due to lateness or sickness to maintain seamless staffing levels.
- Key Audits: Conduct regular, secure key audits.
- Operational Flexibility: Provide critical shift cover for colleagues on leave, and step in for planned day shifts or short-notice schedule changes (Mandatory).
Requirements & Qualifications
- SIA Security Guarding Licence (Required)
- Security Experience: Minimum 1 year (Required)
- Driving Licence: Full UK licence held for at least 1 year with no prior disqualifications (Required)
- IT Skills: Basic computer literacy, specifically with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Attendance: A proven track record of excellent attendance and reliability
