Summary of role
As a Marketing Graphic Designer at Wayland Games, you play a vital role in bringing our brand and campaigns to life. You are responsible for creating visually compelling designs for a variety of mediums, including web, social media, and print while ensuring all work aligns with our brand standards and marketing objectives.
Responsibilities and duties:
- Creating website and social media graphics using software such as Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator
- Designing print advertisements and other print media
- Ensuring all designs are consistent with the brand guidelines and meet the design brief
- Work closely with team members to develop and refine design concepts. Incorporate feedback to improve and finalise projects
- Review graphics, layouts, fonts, colours and sizing before marking work as completed
- Maintaining organised and accessible design files for team use
- Assisting the marketing team with any additional ad hoc tasks as required
- Updating your line manager on any tasks that have not been actioned as and when applicable.
- Identify, escalate, and help to resolve issues affecting the team, internal processes and service levels.
- Interacting and working successfully with all departments to ensure company objectives are met.
- Providing feedback to colleagues and department line managers regarding performance and issues affecting service, reputation and customers.
- Attending and fully participating in 1-2-1’s, setting personal targets and development areas with the opportunity to learn new skills and complete any training required to maintain effectiveness within the role.

Qualifications and skills:
- Experience in graphic design
- Creative intellect to produce compelling designs
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite - especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
- Excellent attention to detail, focusing on spelling and grammar and adhering to brand guidelines
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks effectively
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating self-motivation and reliability
- Ethical and responsible handling of sensitive and confidential information
Pay: £28,684.03 per year
