Workshop Assistant – Inspection & Packing

Busy, Family‑Owned Business | Full Time | £14 per hour

Are you hands‑on, reliable, and take pride in doing a job well? We’re a busy, family‑owned business looking for a Workshop Assistant to join our inspection and packing team—helping ensure every job leaves us finished to a high standard and exactly in line with our customers’ expectations.

With a huge variety of work coming through the workshop, no two days are the same. We’re also a business that’s always looking to improve how we do things, so we’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work and isn’t afraid to suggest better ways of doing things in a fast‑paced environment.

What you’ll be doing:

Inspecting painted and powder‑coated parts to make sure they meet our quality standards
De-masking components carefully and efficiently
Packing items securely in a variety of ways to ensure they reach customers without damage
Handling a wide range of jobs—from small parts to larger items
Supporting the team with general workshop duties as needed

What we’re looking for:

A good eye for detail and pride in producing quality work
A hands‑on, practical approach
Reliable and hard‑working with a positive attitude
Ability to work efficiently and keep up in a fast‑paced environment
Willingness to get stuck in and help wherever needed
Someone who takes ownership of their work and is keen to spot improvements or better ways of working
Forklift licence is a bonus, but not essential

Hours & Pay:

Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 4:30pm
Friday: 7:00am – 11:00am
40 hours per week
£14 per hour
