Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Time Served Painter and Decorator to work in mainly the Newmarket area. Although we also cover Thetford and Bury St.Edmunds area. Must be up to speed, knowledgable of products and delivering high-quality painting.

Working in a small, close team so a positive attitude, flexible work attitude and a keen worth ethic, essential. Need to be good with customers.

We are offering good rates of pay and price work also is available on certain jobs. Rates will be discussed and will reflect your setup and experience. Cards-in may become an option for suitable candidate long term.

A valid driving licence is preferable for this position but not essential depending on your location. Full time or part-time work available for the right candidates.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming prior to painting or decorating.
Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other finishes with precision and care.
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards.
Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines while maintaining quality.
Communicate clearly with clients and team members regarding project progress or issues.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working order, reporting any faults promptly.
Assist in the planning and execution of decorating projects from start to finish.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Painter and Decorator with a recognised apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
Strong knowledge of construction painting techniques and decorating methods.
Excellent communication skills in English to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision whilst adhering to safety protocols.
Good organisational skills with an organised approach to managing multiple projects simultaneously.
A professional attitude with a focus on delivering high-quality workmanship at all times.

Pay: £160.00-£200.00 per day
