Full job description

Ockwells provides temporary site protection materials and safety products for the construction and marine industries, supplying items like floor, door, and surface coverings, tapes, and safety barriers to prevent damage and ensure site safety during building projects. We support customers from initial build to final handover, offering specialised productsincluding flame-retardant optionsand maintain large stocks across the UK to ensure quick and reliable supply.

Join us and play a key role in supporting branch operations, helping us deliver great service and specialist products to our customers every day.

Sales Administrator

To provide outstanding customer service whilst supporting the day-to-day commercial and operational activities of the branch.

The Internal Sales Executive is responsible for generating sales, processing customer orders, managing enquiries, maintaining customer relationships, supporting procurement and stock control functions, and ensuring all branch administration is completed accurately and efficiently.

The role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, commercial awareness and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

What you will be doing:

Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
Handle incoming sales enquiries via telephone, email and trade counter.
Produce quotations and convert opportunities into orders.
Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products.
Support customer retention through excellent service levels.
Resolve customer queries promptly and professionally.

Process cash sales and trade counter transactions.
Order Processing
Procurement & Supplier Management
Stock Control
Commercial Administration
WebPro & Digital Sales Support

What you will bring:

Previous sales or customer service experience.
Strong communication skills.
Good commercial awareness.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Competent IT skills including Microsoft Office.
Strong organisational skills.

Desirable

K8 system experience.
Construction, merchanting or distribution background.
Knowledge of stock control processes.
Experience with CRM systems.
Transport or logistics administration experience.
